The concept of this design is to bring the outside in. Booking.com’s brand identity is to embrace the surrounding culture in their environment. The main idea of this space was to create an indoor playground with the use of movement and biophilic design. To have movement is to encourage workers to take breaks and move around the space. I decided to use biophilic design because it will help improve employee well-being, concentration, and inspire creativity. Biophilic design was promoted by the use of natural and sustainable materials such as bamboo, and oak wood. This space has been divided into three distinctive areas, to promote activity-based working. The space recognises that all individuals don’t work the same and there are different spaces for that to occur.
